Superare errori e difetti - La lotta e la vittoria

Non è da registrare nessun progresso spirituale quando l’uomo non lavora coscientemente su di sé, cioè non tende con tutte le forze per diventare perfetto. E’ bensì debole e con la propria forza non potrà fare nulla per diventare libero dai suoi difetti ed errori. Ma dapprima deve riconoscere sé stesso e poi, nella conoscenza dei suoi errori e delle sue debolezze, richiedere la necessaria Forza a Dio per vincerli. Non deve lasciarsi sospingere senza volontà dove deve avere la forza per la resistenza che lo fa diventare vincitore su tutte le debolezze e difetti. Questa è la lotta senza la quale nessun uomo giunge in Alto, questo è il progresso spirituale, che l’uomo vinca sé stesso, che lavori su di sé con successo, che cambi e deponga gli errori che lo timbrano ad un essere imperfetto. Perché per questo motivo percorre l’ultima via della sua vita terrena nella libera volontà, che combatta contro tutti i cattivi istinti che ha portato con sé dalla sua ultima incorporazione, che tenda verso l’Alto, alla somiglianza di Dio. E per questo gli era stato dato l’intelletto, il Dono della conoscenza, che lui stesso si renda conto fin dove il suo essere, il suo agire e pensare, corrisponda alla Volontà di Dio. Deve esercitare su di sé una critica severa senza abbellimento, deve fare tutto ciò che è per la salvezza della sua anima e per questo ci vuole l’osservazione interiore sul suo valore e non-valore; rivolgendo lo sguardo a Dio deve cercare di formarsi in modo da diventare l’Immagine di Dio e deve sapere che gli errori e difetti di un uomo sono degli ostacoli per giungere vicino a Dio. Se tende a Dio deve per conseguenza dapprima eliminare questi errori e nella conoscenza della sua debolezza, deve invocare Dio intimamente per l’Assistenza, deve richiedere la Forza per la sua opera di trasformazione e deve voler diventare simile a Dio, che deponga tutto ciò che è antidivino e conquisti la vittoria su tutte le debolezze ed errori. Dio considera questa sua seria volontà e gli fa giungere anche la necessaria Forza e gli dà il chiarimento, come deve utilizzare questa Forza per arrivare al successo, per progredire nello sviluppo, per maturare nella sua anima e di uscire da vincitore su sé stesso.

Overcoming mistakes and shortcomings.... struggle and victory....

No spiritual progress can be made if a person does not consciously work on himself, i.e. strive with all his strength to become perfect. He is indeed weak and will not be able to rid himself of his shortcomings and faults by his own efforts. However, he must first recognize himself and then, recognizing his faults and weaknesses, request the necessary strength from God to overcome them. He must not allow himself to be driven without will, he must not remain inactive where he is to muster the strength of resistance that will make him victorious over his weaknesses and shortcomings. This is the battle without which no human being can reach the heights, this is spiritual progress, that the human being conquers himself, that he successfully works on himself, that he changes and discards the faults which stamp him as an imperfect being. For for this purpose he goes his last earthly life path in free will, that he fights against all bad instincts which he has brought with him into his last embodiment, that he strives upwards, towards Godlikeness. And for this purpose he was given the intellect, the gift of cognition, so that he can account to himself to what extent his nature, his actions and thoughts correspond to God's will. He should criticize himself strictly and without embellishment, he should do everything that is beneficial to his soul, and this includes inner reflection on his worth and unworthiness; he must try to shape himself with his eyes turned towards God in order to become an image of God, and he must know that a person's faults and shortcomings are obstacles to coming close to God. Consequently, if he aspires to God, he must first eliminate these faults.... and, recognizing his weakness, he must sincerely call upon God for help, he must request strength for his work of transformation, and he must want to become like God, to discard everything ungodly and gain victory over all weaknesses and faults. God respects his sincere will and He will also give him the necessary strength and enlighten him as to how he should use this strength in order to achieve success, to progress in his development, to mature his soul and to emerge victorious over himself....
