La fede e l’amore

La fede e l’amore conducono alla Vita eterna, alla Beatitudine. Ma l’una non è pensabile senza l’altro. Chi vive nell’amore, è interiormente unito con Dio attraverso l’amore, dato che Dio Stesso E’ l’Amore. Quindi riconosce anche Dio in tutto ciò che lo circonda. Lo considera il Creatore di tutte le cose, il Quale può compiere tutto ciò che vuole e che il Suo ultragrande Amore Lo determina ad agire in tutta la Sapienza. E quindi crede in un Dio dell’Amore, della Sapienza e dell’Onnipotenza, crede che sia la Sua creatura, proceduta da Lui ed unita inseparabilmente con Lui. E riconosce anche la sua destinazione e la sua meta, perché l’amore rende l’uomo saggio, non può pensare altro che bene e giusto, perché sta nell’amore. E riconosce il suo pensare e sapere come Verità, ne è convinto, quindi crede. E nuovamente un uomo che crede in un amorevole, saggio ed onnipotente Creatore del Cielo e della Terra, non potrà altro che vivere nell’amore, perché questa conoscenza, questa fede convinta deve aver per conseguenza un agire nell’amore, altrimenti sono solo parole vuote se l’uomo afferma la sua fede, parole alle quali manca la vita. Perché se l’uomo non svolge opere d’amore, allora in lui non c’è nemmeno la Sapienza e quindi gli manca la Forza della conoscenza. Gli manca la fede, benché la vuole affermare attraverso parole. Quindi la fede è morta, perché la fede viva ha per conseguenza inevitabilmente un agire nell’amore, perché chi riconosce Dio, Lo deve anche amare. E Dio lo riamerà e questo significa che l’uomo ora si sente spinto all’agire nell’amore, perché gli affluisce l’Amore di Dio come Forza che spinge all’attività. Soltanto la fede può essere di forza differente e perciò l’uomo che ama, deve anche lottare per una forte fede irremovibile, perché una fede debole mette anche a rischio l’agire d’amore oppure lo diminuisce. Più profonda è la fede dell’uomo, con più fervore si sforza ad osservare i Comandamenti di Dio che richiedono l’amore disinteressato per il prossimo. La forza della fede determina quindi l’attività d’amore dell’uomo e perciò si può tranquillamente dubitare nella fede di un uomo oppure descriverla come una fede morta, benché attraverso parole cerchi di fingere una profonda fede. Perché fede ed amore non si possono pensare l’una senza l’altro, perché chi sta nell’amore, deve anche credere, perché l’amore è la Forza di Dio che guida l’uomo anche nella conoscenza. Ma riconoscere qualcosa significa credere nella sua Verità. L’uomo capace di amare quindi starà anche nella profonda fede, perché Dio Stesso lo guida alla conoscenza, cioè lo illumina, in modo che ora possa credere colmo di convinzione, che la sua fede sia viva, che agisca nell’amore perché crede.

Faith and love....

Faith and love lead to eternal life, to bliss. But one is inconceivable without the other. Those who live in love are intimately connected to God through love, which is God Himself.... So he also recognizes God in everything that surrounds him.... He sees Him as the creator of all things, Who can accomplish everything He wants and Whom His immense love destines to work in all wisdom. And so he believes in a God of love, wisdom and omnipotence.... he believes that he is His creature, emerged from Him and inseparably connected to Him.... And he also recognizes his purpose and his goal, for love makes him wise, he cannot think otherwise than good and right because he stands in love.... And he recognizes his thinking and knowledge as truth, he is convinced of it, thus he believes.... And again, a person who believes in a loving, wise and omnipotent creator of heaven and earth cannot help but live in love, for this realization, this convinced faith must result in an activity of love, otherwise it is just empty words if the person affirms his faith.... words that lack life.... For if a person does not perform works of love, then there is no wisdom in him either, and thus he lacks the power of knowledge. He lacks faith, even though he wants to testify to it through words. So faith is dead, because living faith inevitably entails a work of love, because whoever recognizes God must also love Him. And God will love him again, and this means that the human being now feels urged to work with love because God's love flows towards him as strength which impels him into action. However, faith can vary in strength and therefore the loving person must also struggle for strong, unshakeable faith.... For a weak faith also jeopardizes the work of love or reduces it. The deeper a person's faith is, the more eagerly he endeavours to keep God's commandments, which demand unselfish love for his neighbour. The strength of faith thus determines a person's activity of love, and therefore one can confidently doubt a person's faith or describe it as a dead faith if he ignores the commandments of love, even if he tries to feign a deep faith through words. For faith and love cannot be thought of without each other, because he who stands in love must also believe, for love is power from God, which also leads man into realization. But recognizing something means believing in the truth of it. The human being capable of love will therefore also have profound faith, for God Himself guides him into realization, that is, He enlightens him so that he can now believe with full conviction that his faith is a living one, that he works with love because he believes....
