„Beati i poveri in ispirito.... “ - Il non riconoscere il Dono divino

Quanto è piccolo l’uomo e quanto si crede saggio e potente. Crede di poter rigettare il Dono divino e vuole mettere al di sopra la sua propria sapienza. E non pensa che anche il suo pensare d’intelletto è un Dono di Dio che però usa male, se non lo usa in modo da imparare a riconoscere Dio. Dio E’ l’Origine, ma costui stesso si stima troppo in alto, non vuole lasciar valere nulla al di sopra di lui, perché allora dovrebbe anche stimare meno la sua sapienza di come fa. Ma egli ride arrogante, quando gli viene offerto un sapere che supera di molto il suo sapere, egli sorride perché crede sé stesso sapiente e quindi di essere anche in grado di emettere un giudizio. E per questo non può crescere nel sapere, perché non desidera un tale sapere. E perciò Dio guida la Sapienza a coloro che si sentono minimi ed ignari, che vorrebbero aumentare il loro sapere e che riconoscono al di sopra di sé un Essere, il Quale conosce tutto, quindi anche la povertà spirituale delle Sue creature che Egli può alleviare. E beati coloro che si sentono poveri in ispirito, che non chiamano loro proprio un sapere mondano che li rende di spirito arrogante, beati coloro che sono affamati di Sapienze dall’Alto, che vogliono attingere dalla Fonte che Dio Stesso ha aperto, questa Fonte è accessibile a tutti gli uomini, ma l’umanità vi passa sprezzante. Ma l’Acqua viva che scaturisce da questa Fonte, è la cosa più deliziosa che è a disposizione dell’uomo. Gli trasmette un tesoro che supera tutti i beni terreni, perché la Sapienza di Dio è un Dono di Grazia, di cui l’uomo non vorrà mai fare a meno, appena l’ha una volta ricevuta. La Sapienza di Dio ha un valore d’Eternità, la Sapienza di Dio rende l’uomo indescrivibilmente felice e la Sapienza di Dio gli dà Forza per tendere verso l’Alto. Il sapere mondano invece diventa pallido ed è senza valore, cioè serve soltanto per il tempo del cammino terreno e procura anche soltanto vantaggio terreno. Ma il sapere spirituale porta poco successo per la vita terrena e ciononostante l’uomo non lo dà più via, appena una volta l’ha trovato. E coloro che lo rifiutano, testimoniano con ciò soltanto la loro predisposizione mondana, scarso desiderio verso la Verità, altrimenti dovrebbero riconoscerla come un prezioso Dono e vi tenderebbero pure.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit...." failure to recognize the divine gift....

How small man is, and how wise and powerful he thinks he is.... He believes he can reject divine gifts and wants to superimpose his own wisdom on them. And he does not consider that his intellectual thinking is also a gift from God, which he misuses if he does not use it in such a way that he learns to recognize God. God is the origin.... but he values himself too highly, he does not want to accept anything above himself, otherwise he would also have to value his wisdom less than he does. But he smiles loftily when he is offered knowledge that far exceeds his own.... he smiles because he believes himself to be knowledgeable and therefore also capable of passing judgement. And therefore he cannot increase in knowledge because he does not desire it.... And God therefore distributes wisdom to those who feel lowly and ignorant, who would like to increase their knowledge and who recognize a being above them Which knows everything, thus also about the spiritual poverty of His living creations, which He can remedy.... And blessed are those who feel poor in spirit, who do not call worldly knowledge their own, which makes them arrogant in spirit.... blessed are those who are hungry for the wisdom from above, who want to draw from the fountain that God Himself has opened.... this spring is accessible to every human being, yet mankind passes it by with disdain.... But the living water that flows from this spring is the most delicious thing available to man.... It provides him with a treasure that far surpasses all earthly goods. For wisdom from God is a gift of grace that a person will never want to do without once he has received it.... Wisdom from God has eternal value, wisdom from God makes man indescribably happy, and wisdom from God gives strength to strive for the heights.... Worldly knowledge, on the other hand, fades and is worthless, i.e. it is only useful for the time of the earthly change and also only brings earthly advantage. spiritual knowledge, however, is of little use for earthly life and yet the human being will not give it up once he has found it. And those who reject it thereby testify to their merely worldly attitude and their little desire for truth, otherwise they would have to recognize it as a precious gift and would also strive for it....
