La funzione di predicare - Il vero predicatore - Il vaso d’accoglienza

Il dono di predicare il Vangelo, premette l’amore per gli uomini, se le Parole divine devono fluire dalla bocca del predicatore, perché allora costui è l’organo, attraverso il quale Dio Stesso parla agli uomini, mentre le parole d’uomo sono state soltanto imparate a memoria e danno solo il sapere, che l’uomo ha accolto in sè scolasticamente. Appena l’uomo è attivo nell’amore, attraverso lui agisce lo Spirito di Dio, ed allora può dire solamente ciò che gli trasmette lo Spirito di Dio. Perciò un predicatore, che non è attivo nell’amore, non può mai adoperarsi con successo per il Vangelo, perché pronuncia soltanto delle parole vuote; a queste manca la Vita, e perciò non possono nemmeno risvegliare alla Vita. E questo è il motivo perché la Parola divina passa oltre alla maggioranza degli uomini, senza trovare una risonanza nell’uomo. Questi non sono dei veri annunciatori della Parola divina, non sono servitori di Dio che devono essere, per poter agire con successo sulla Terra. Alla loro funzione sono uniti anche degli interessi materiali e se l’uomo non è straordinariamente attivo nell’amore, non potrà dare il chiarimento così com’è necessario, per giungere alla conoscenza. Osserverà però sempre delle formalità esteriori, come gli è stato trasmesso da parte umana, e si sentirà come servitore di Dio, che è destinato a predicare ai prossimi il Vangelo. Il Dono di predicare è una conseguenza del collegamento più intimo con Dio attraverso l’attività d’amore e la preghiera. Allora all’Agire dello Spirito nell’uomo non sono messe delle barriere, ed ora non è l’uomo che parla, ma la Voce dello Spirito divino, che Si annuncia tramite la bocca d’uomo. “Non siate solleciti di quel che dovete dire, perché il Mio Spirito vi darà nella stessa ora.... ” E quello che ora l’uomo dice e pensa, questo è il Vangelo che deve dare agli altri, perché è la Parola di Dio, trasmessa all’uomo attraverso il Suo Spirito. Ed ognuno può eseguire questa funzione d’insegnamento, se attraverso l’agire d’amore si è conquistato il diritto all’Agire dello Spirito divino. Ma appunto soltanto costoro devono insegnare. Lo studio mondano non sostituisce mai l’Agire dello Spirito, e se non viene contemporaneamente esercitata l’attività d’amore, saranno e rimarranno parole di lettere, che ora vengono offerte agli uomini; non penetrano nei cuori e non risveglieranno alla Vita, a meno che l’ascoltatore non sia afferrato dal profondo amore per Dio, illuminato dal Suo Spirito, in modo che la Parola in lui diventi viva. La funzione di predicare è così infinitamente importante e verrà comunque messa alla pari di un compito mondano da coloro, che la devono esercitare. Viene costretta nel tempo e nella formalità, simile a funzioni mondane, viene esercitata secondo l’abitudine e non più dal bisogno più profondo, interiore. L’uomo dev’essere spinto dal suo spirito di parlare, e per questo non c’è bisogno né di un determinato luogo né di un determinato tempo, ma soltanto degli uomini affamati di saziarsi alla Fonte della Sapienza divina, che desiderano il Pane del Cielo. A costoro dev’essere predicato il Vangelo, la divina Dottrina dell’amore, solo attraverso questo adempimento l’uomo può giungere alla Sapienza. Più intimo è il collegamento del predicatore con Dio e più volonteroso l’ascoltatore accoglie ora la sua parola, più chiara e comprensibile giungerà questa parola alle orecchie dell’ascoltatore, perché ora lui la desidera e l’ascolta con il cuore e non la lascia echeggiare oltre dall’orecchio. Il predicatore dev’essere lo strumento di Dio, cioè darsi a Dio, affinché Egli possa agire senza impedimento tramite lui. Dev’essere il vaso d’accoglienza per lo Spirito di Dio, che Si deve effondere sugli uomini. L’uomo deve guidare oltre questa Corrente a coloro che non stabiliscono loro stessi il collegamento con Dio, indicarne la via, e se lui stesso vive ed è attivo con e per Dio, deve guidare a Lui anche i prossimi e dare loro conoscenza dell’Amore di Dio, che deve di nuovo essere conquistata tramite l’amore. Deve educare gli uomini all’amore, perché senza questo nessun uomo può diventare beato.

Preaching ministry.... right preachers - receptacles....

The gift of preaching the gospel requires love for people if divine words are to flow from the preacher's mouth, for then he is the organ through which God Himself speaks to people, whereas otherwise it is human words that he speaks.... words that are learnt and only reflect the knowledge that man has absorbed in a scholastic way. As soon as a person is active in love, the spirit from God works through that person, and then he can only speak what the spirit from God imparts to him. Therefore, a preacher who is not active in love can never successfully stand up for the gospel, for the words he speaks are only empty; they lack life and therefore cannot awaken to life. And that is the reason why the divine word passes by the majority of people without finding an echo in them. They are not true proclaimers of the divine word, not servants of God, as they should be in order to be able to work successfully on earth. Their ministry is also connected to material interests, and if the human being is not exceptionally active in love he will not be able to provide the kind of information which is necessary in order to attain realization. However, he will always comply with the external forms he has been taught by human beings and he will feel like a servant of God who is destined to preach the gospel to his fellow human beings........ The gift of preaching is a consequence of the most intimate connection with God through loving activity and prayer.... There are then no limits to the work of the spirit in man, and now it is not man who speaks, but the voice of the divine spirit that makes itself known through the mouth of man. "Do not worry about what you are to say, for My spirit will give it to you at the same hour...." And what a person speaks and thinks is the gospel that he should pass on, for it is God's word, imparted to people by His spirit. And anyone can carry out this teaching ministry if he has acquired the right to the working of the divine spirit through labour of love. But only these are to teach.... Worldly study never replaces the work of the spirit, and if the activity of love is not practiced at the same time, the words offered to people will be and remain literal; they will not penetrate the heart and awaken it to life unless the listener is gripped by deep love for God and enlightened by His spirit, so that the word comes alive in him. The office of preacher is to be taken as infinitely important and yet will be equated with a worldly task even by those who are to fulfil it. Like worldly offices, it is forced into time and form, it is exercised habitually and no longer out of the deepest inner need.... Man must be urged by his spirit to speak, and for this he needs neither a specific place nor a specific time, but only hungry people who want to refresh themselves at the source of divine wisdom, who desire the bread of heaven.... The gospel is to be preached to them, the divine doctrine of love, the fulfilment of which alone allows man to attain wisdom. The more intimate the connection of the preacher with God is and the more willingly the listener receives his word, the clearer and more comprehensible this word will reach the ears of the listener, because he now desires and hears it with his heart and does not let it fade away at the ear. The preacher should be God's instrument, i.e. surrender himself to God so that He can work through him unhindered.... He is to be the receiving vessel for the spirit from God, which is to pour out on people.... He is to pass on this flow and show the way to those who do not establish the connection with God themselves.... if he himself lives and works with God and for God, he should also lead his fellow human beings to Him and give them knowledge of God's love, which is to be achieved again through loving actions.... He should educate people to love, because without love no human being can be saved....
