Cattivi pensieri - Il disamore - Lo stato dell’animo

Il cosciente rifiuto di cattivi pensieri è il mezzo più sicuro per sospendere lo stato dell’animo, perché allora a quelle forze viene opposta resistenza, che impiegano tutta la loro influenza, per distogliere l’uomo da Dio. Questo richiede bensì tutta la volontà dell’uomo, e quando questa è indebolita e cede, quindi entra in tali pensieri, l’uomo deve soffrire, cioè gli si impossessa un umore oscuro, che lo opprime ed aggrava. Ed il male trionfa, perché la sua influenza diventa sempre più grande, la volontà dell’uomo e la forza di resistenza diventano sempre più deboli. Quelle ore sono un certo pericolo per l’anima, e l’uomo stesso deve nuovamente liberarsene. Deve pregare, intimamente e pieno di fiducia, che Dio lo voglia liberare da questa situazione. Per la preghiera ci vuole anche la volontà dell’uomo, ma se l’anima lotta per essere liberata da questa situazione, l’assistono delle Forze buone dall’aldilà, se l’uomo si rivolge a loro supplicando l’aiuto, se lui stesso desidera di diventare libero da questa pressione. Ma l’uomo diventa quasi sempre apatico e non si difende, ed allora è più difficile la liberazione dal potere della tenebra, e la lotta diventa sempre più necessaria, lo stato di sofferenza sempre più insopportabile. La ferma fede è il mezzo migliore e l’uomo si può affidare alle Forze buone nella pienissima calma dell’anima, se soltanto accetta il loro potere e Forza. Lo aiutano del tutto certamente e non tollerano che i poteri cattivi conquistino il sopravvento su di lui. Un cedere, quando sorgono cattivi pensieri, è mancanza di fede, perché cattivi pensieri si rivolgono contro il Comandamento divino. Chi crede fermamente, adempie ogni Comandamento che Dio ha dato agli uomini, ma chi è debole nella fede, disprezzerà anche i Comandamenti divini, e quindi i suoi pensieri si rivolgeranno contro questi Comandamenti, sarà privo di qualsiasi amore, quindi coltiverà pensieri disamorevoli e questo è lo scopo dell’avversario, perché da ciò ottiene il suo potere sull’uomo. In una tale predisposizione d’animo è sovente molto difficile ritrovare la via dell’amore; l’uomo ha commesso un’ingiustizia, quando coltiva dei pensieri disamorevoli, ed ora deve correggere quest’ingiustizia, mentre, costretto da sofferenze, lotta nella preghiera affinché gli si rivolga l’Amore divino, che ogni pensiero disamorevole aveva respinto. La volontà rivolta a Dio farà riconoscere all’uomo la sua ingiustizia, ed allora gli sarà anche facile pregare Dio, ma la volontà stessa deve diventare attiva, non può essere rivolta di nuovo a Dio con la costrizione.

Bad thoughts.... unkindness.... state of mind....

The conscious rejection of bad thoughts is the surest means to lift the state of mind, for then those forces will be resisted which exert all their influence in order to turn the person away from God. This certainly requires the human being's whole will, and if this is weakened by giving in, i.e. giving in to such thoughts, the human being has to suffer, i.e. a gloomy mood takes hold of him, which presses and burdens him. And evil triumphs, for its influence becomes ever greater, the human being's will and his power of resistance ever weaker. Such hours are a certain danger for the soul, and again man must free himself from them. He must pray, fervently and full of confidence that God wants to free him from this situation. The human being's will is also part of prayer, but if the soul struggles to be released from this situation the good forces of the beyond will help it, providing the human being turns to them for help, providing he himself desires to be free from this pressure. However, the human being usually becomes apathetic and does not defend himself, and the more difficult his liberation from the power of darkness is, the more necessary the struggle becomes and the more unbearable the state of suffering. Firm faith is the best means, and the human being can abandon himself to the good forces in complete peace of mind if only he affirms their power and strength. They will certainly help him and will not tolerate the bad powers gaining the upper hand over him. Giving in when bad thoughts arise is a lack of faith, because bad thoughts are directed against the divine commandment.... Anyone who firmly believes fulfils every commandment God has given to people, but anyone who is weak in faith will also disregard the divine commandments, and thus his thoughts will be directed against these commandments, he will be devoid of all love, thus harbour unloving thoughts, and this is what the adversary aims to achieve. For in this way he gains control of the person. In such a state it is often difficult to find his way back to the path of love; the human being has committed an injustice if he harbours unloving thoughts, and he must now make up for this injustice by struggling in prayer, compelled by suffering, for the attention of divine love, which every unloving thought had repelled. The will towards God will let the human being recognize his wrongdoing and it will then also become easy for him to pray to Him.... but the will itself has to become active, it cannot be judged, i.e. forcibly directed towards God again....
