Genialità – Auto-superamento

La genialità dell’uomo è anche un certo pericolo per lui, perché le sacrifica la sua vita interiore. La certezza, di trovarsi su un gradino superiore, può avere sovente un effetto deleterio, perché l’uomo è arrogante e si crede superiore nel sapere e nella forza di giudizio in ogni rapporto nei confronti del prossimo. L’arroganza è l’ostacolo per riconoscere la Verità. Solo dove l’umiltà adorna il cuore dell’uomo, là la Verità trova l’ingresso, perché a costui affluisce la Grazia divina. Dove invece si è formata l’opinione che per riconoscere la Verità giocano un ruolo anche visibili capacità terrene, là si registra una certa auto arroganza e perciò anche una mancanza di forza conoscitiva. Gli sforzi antireligiosi promuovono una rinuncia ad ogni fede in ciò che è diventato un bene generale degli uomini attraverso le tradizionali trasmissioni. Perciò viene accettato spensieratamente anche ciò che è di Origine divina, l’Insegnamento di un Dio dell’Amore, dell’Onnipotenza e Sapienza. E l’attuale predisposizione d’animo dell’uomo viene sondata razionalmente nel modo più convincente, ma sempre procedente dall’opinione errata, che la vita sarebbe terminata con la morte corporea. E perciò l’edificio così costruito manca delle fondamenta e perciò non resisterà ad un attacco di dimostrazione da parte di un uomo profondamente credente, ma questa dimostrazione verrà respinta con tanta caparbietà, per non esporre al pericolo di crollo di ciò che è stato edificato nel proprio. Se l’intelletto umano altamente sviluppato non si china nell’umiltà all’insondabile Divinità, genererà soltanto delle opinioni errate e con queste rafforzerà l’auto arroganza, e questo ha per conseguenza un deplorevole stato dell’anima. Un tale uomo può arrivare alla conoscenza della sua debolezza e l’insignificanza solo attraverso la sofferenza. Gli dev’essere dimostrata come imperfetta l’acutezza d’intelletto e la capacità di giudizio, mentre questi non gli sono dei mezzi contrari per sospendere la propria impotenza, quando Dio Stesso Si manifesta attraverso le potenze della natura. Allora ogni uomo diventa piccolo, non importa quale talento, quale sapere d’intelletto chiami suo proprio. In una situazione di miseria terrena che gli dimostra la propria impotenza, è di importanza soltanto il rapporto intimo, la predisposizione verso Dio, e questo determina la sua ulteriore vita terrena ed anche spirituale. Tutte le altre qualità dell’uomo, che sono da valutare solo puramente terrene, non acquistano nessun valore, ed ogni opinione afferrata in precedenza oscillerà, perché non resiste in vista della catastrofe che supera ogni facoltà umana dell’immaginabile che Dio manda per dare ancora a quegli uomini una possibilità del pensare bene, per giungere alla fede in Lui.

Ingenuity.... self-exaltation....

Man's genius is also a certain danger for him, because he sacrifices his inner life to it. The certainty of being on a higher level can often have a pernicious effect, because a person is arrogant and believes himself to be superior to his fellow human beings in every respect in terms of knowledge and power of judgement. However, arrogance is the obstacle to recognizing the truth. Only where humility of heart adorns a person does the truth find entrance, for divine grace flows to them. On the other hand, where the opinion has formed that earthly visible abilities also contribute to recognizing the truth, there is a certain arrogance and therefore also a lack of cognitive power. Anti-religious endeavours promote the abandonment of any belief in what has become common knowledge through tradition. As a result, even that which is of divine origin.... the doctrine of a God of love, omnipotence and wisdom is often given up without hesitation.... And the human being's current attitude is objectively justified in the most convincing way, yet always based on the erroneous view that life ends with bodily death. And therefore the building now erected will lack the foundation walls and therefore not withstand an onslaught of evidence from a deeply believing person.... however, this evidence is just as stubbornly rejected so as not to expose the self-constructed building to the risk of collapse. If the highly developed human mind does not bow in humility to the unfathomable deity, it will only generate erroneous views and strengthen self-conceit with these views, resulting in a regrettable state of mind. Such a person can only be made to recognize his weakness and insignificance through suffering. His intellectual acuity and judgement must be shown to be deficient, as they are no antidote to his own powerlessness when God Himself expresses Himself through the forces of nature. Then every human being becomes small, no matter what talent, what intellectual knowledge he calls his own. In an earthly emergency, which proves his own powerlessness, only the inner relationship, the attitude towards God, is of importance, and this determines his further life on earth and also spiritually. All other qualities of the human being, which can only be assessed in purely earthly terms, will not come into play and every preconceived opinion will waver, for it will not stand up in the face of the catastrophe which surpasses all human imagination and which God sends in order to give precisely those people the opportunity to think right.... to believe in Him........
