“Mia è la Vendetta.... ”

Esercitare la ritorsione dinanzi a Dio non è giusto, perché allora l’uomo ha parte in una colpa, perché ha ceduto ad un cattivo desiderio in sé ed ora non è più puro nel cuore. Ogni sentimento del disamore è un ostacolo verso l’Alto, la lotta interiore invece un progresso. Appena l’uomo si predispone in modo animoso verso il prossimo e studia la retribuzione, egli stesso si dà al potere del maligno ed ora deve compiere la sua volontà, che è sempre l’aumento del disamore. Con ciò è in pericolo lo stato della sua anima, perché se intanto ha ceduto al desiderio del nemico, allora gli è difficile esercitare l’amore, perché il pensiero di vendetta avvelena il suo sentimento. Quello che gli ha fatto il prossimo, è molto meno che quello che ora fa a sé stesso, perché l’ingiustizia del prossimo consisteva nel fatto di danneggiarlo fisicamente, ma lui danneggia la sua anima e le mette nuove catene attraverso quell’atto del disamore. Non ne ha nessuna utilità che la sensazione di vendetta soddisfatta e con ciò si dà nel potere dell’avversario ed ora ritrovare la via di ritorno all’agire d’amore è estremamente difficile e può essere possibile solamente, quando ammette e si pente della sua ingiustizia. L’uomo bramoso di vendetta però gioisce della sua azione ed è molto lontano dallo stato del pentimento. L’uomo deve retribuire il male con il bene, allora indebolisce il potere del maligno, si conquista l’amore e libera sé stesso ed anche il suo avversario dall’influenza del potere cattivo, perché l’avversario sente questo come un atto di beneficenza, se non è del tutto incaparbito e si pente della sua azione. La retribuzione però è la Funzione di Dio e Dio E’ giusto ed esercita la Retribuzione davvero secondo il merito. Egli guarda nel cuore dell’uomo e nulla Gli rimane nascosto. La Sua Volontà è di migliorare gli uomini e di far riconoscere loro la loro ingiustizia, così come Egli benedice coloro che sopportano pazienti l’ingiustizia del prossimo, senza ribellarsi oppure studiare vendetta. “La Vendetta è Mia”, dice il Signore. Con ciò Egli annuncia la Sua Volontà di lasciare a Lui la Sua funzione di Vendicatore, affinché voi non causate nemmeno un danno alla vostra anima, che è molto più grande di quello che il vostro prossimo vi possa mai fare.

'Vengeance is Mine....'

Exacting revenge is not right before God, for then the human being will share the guilt because he gave way to an evil desire in him and is no longer pure at heart. Every feeling of unkindness is an obstacle towards ascent, the inner battle, however, is an advancement. As soon as the human being is antagonistically inclined towards the fellow human being and ponders retaliation he hands himself over to the power of evil and has to comply with its will, which always intends to increase unkindness. And this puts his state of soul at risk, for once he has given in to the enemy's desire it will be difficult for him to practise love, for the thought of revenge poisons his feelings. What his fellow human being has done to him is far less than what he is now doing to himself, for his fellow human being's wrong-doing consisted of causing him physical damage but he is damaging his soul and puts it into new fetters with every act of unkindness. He has no other benefit by doing so other than to satisfy his feeling of revenge and thereby hands himself over to the opponent's control, and to then return to activities of love is extremely difficult and can only be possible if he realises and regrets his wrong-doing. The vindictive person, however, is pleased with his action and far removed from a state of remorse. The human being shall repay evil with good, this way he will weaken the power of evil, acquire love and release himself as well as his opponent from the influence of evil, for his opponent will experience this as a beneficial act, providing he is not entirely obstinate, and will regret his action. Vengeance, however, is God's responsibility. And God is righteous, He truly administers vengeance according to merit.... He beholds the human being's heart and nothing remains hidden to Him. And it is His will to reform people and to make them realise their wrong-doing, just as He blesses those who patiently endure the other person's wrong-doing without rebelling against it or thinking of exacting revenge. 'Vengeance is Mine', says the Lord.... He thereby makes His will known to leave the responsibility of vengeance to Him, so as not to cause damage to your soul, which will be much greater than your fellow human being can ever inflict on you....
