La necessità di preghiera e di Forza - La preghiera è la dimostrazione della fede

I pericoli della vita terrena sono indescrivibilmente grandi, se l’uomo confida nella sua propria forza, perché l’avversario può usare il suo potere senza urtare contro una qualsiasi resistenza. E lui utilizza questo potere per indebolire la volontà umana. E dato che l’essere è sempre ancora nello stato legato, anche se in forma più leggera, la sua volontà senza il Sostegno attraverso la Forza divina non è abbastanza resistente e quindi cadrà vittima all’avversario. E perciò dev’essere assolutamente richiesta la Forza da Dio, cioè l’uomo deve utilizzare la Grazia della preghiera, senza questa, senza il pensiero richiedente a Dio, è impossibile che sia armato contro i pericoli terreni, e l’uomo, che crede di non aver bisogno della preghiera, non potrà mai sostenere la lotta sulla Terra. La preghiera è l’ammissione della sua assenza d’aiuto; la preghiera dimostra la volontà del figlio terreno di corrispondere alla Volontà divina; la preghiera è il ponte verso l’Alto, che viene quindi usato nella buona volontà per sfuggire al potere dell’avversario e di unirsi con Dio. E questa volontà è il motivo che Dio esaudisce la preghiera, se sale a Lui nella più profonda fede, nella fiducia del Suo Aiuto. Lo stato dell’assenza d’aiuto rende la preghiera insostituibile. Chi crede quindi di potercela fare senza preghiera, si sente abbastanza forte da un lato e dall’altro soffre troppo poco sotto il suo stato legato, invece di desiderare di diventarne libero. Gli manca quindi ancora la conoscenza della sua attuale situazione, della sua origine e della sua destinazione. Gli basta la vita terrena e crede di poterla affrontare con la propria forza. Ma non riconosce nemmeno una Potenza che sta al di sopra di lui come una Entità, alla Quale può affidarsi o chiedere l’aiuto. E quindi non può nemmeno pregare ed invocare un Essere, di Cui dubita. Gli manca quindi la fede. E la preghiera d’altra parte è sempre una dimostrazione di una fede interiore, mentre un uomo miscredente non pregherà mai. Quindi, dapprima l’uomo deve credere, prima che possa avvalersi delle Grazie della preghiera, e l’uomo, a cui manca la fede, è indicibilmente da compiangere, dato che gli manca ogni Aiuto spirituale, senza il quale però non può percorrere la via verso l’Alto. Perciò la preghiera non può essere esclusa nella vita terrena, se questa dev’essere vissuta secondo lo scopo e procurare all’anima il successo dello sviluppo verso l’Alto. Perché solo attraverso la preghiera l’uomo stabilisce il collegamento con la Forza buona spirituale, e soltanto ora può adempiere il suo compito terreno, solo ora può fare tutto ciò che procura alla sua anima un grado superiore di maturità e quindi questo è l’unico scopo della vita terrena.

Need for prayer and strength.... prayer proof of faith....

The dangers of life on earth are indescribably great if a person relies on his own strength. For the adversary can use his power without encountering any resistance. And he uses this power to weaken the human will. And since the being is still in a banished state, albeit in a lightened form, its will is not sufficiently resistant without the support of divine strength and will therefore fall prey to the enemy. And that is why the strength from God has to be requested without fail, i.e., the human being has to utilize the grace of prayer, without prayer, without the pleading thought to God, he cannot possibly be prepared for earthly dangers, and the human being who does not believe he needs prayer will never survive the battle on earth. Prayer is the admission of his helplessness; prayer proves the earthly child's will to comply with divine will; prayer is the bridge upwards which is therefore entered in the good will to flee the adversary's power and to unite with God. And this will is the reason why God hears the prayer if it rises up to God in deepest faith, trusting in His help. The state of helplessness makes prayer indispensable. So whoever believes he can manage without prayer feels strong enough on the one hand and suffers too little from his spellbound state on the other to desire to be freed from it. He therefore still lacks the realization of his present situation, his end and his destiny. Earthly life is enough for him; he believes he can master it by his own strength. But he also does not regocnize a power above him as an entity to which he can entrust himself or approach for help. And so he cannot pray and call upon a being that he doubts. He therefore lacks faith. And thus prayer, on the other hand, is always proof of inner faith, whereas an unbelieving person will never pray.... A person must therefore first believe before he can avail himself of the favours of prayer, and a person who lacks faith is to be pitied beyond words, as he lacks all spiritual help, without which he cannot take the path to the heights. Therefore, prayer cannot be eliminated in earthly life if it is to be lived appropriately and bring the soul the success of higher development. For only through prayer does the human being establish the connection with good spiritual strength, and only then can he fulfil his task on earth.... only now can he do everything that brings his soul a higher degree of maturity and is therefore the only purpose of life on earth....
