TJELESNOST.... ZEMALJSKI ZAHTJEVI.... LJUBAVNA AKTIVNOST....

U tjelesnosti (senzualnosti, tjelesnoj požudi, putenosti), vi ljudi vidite ispunjenje vaših tjelesnih zahtjeva (žudnji), i stoga se vi tako prepuštate zemaljskom uživanju (nasladi). Ali, ono što pomaže blagostanju (ugodnosti, zadovoljstvu, lagodnosti) tijela, od male je dobrobiti za dušu, jer duša može napredovati u razvoju jedino ako ona ne popušta tjelesnim žudnjama, ako se ona dobrovoljno odriče svega što tijelo zahtijeva za svoje zadovoljenje.... Čovjek treba prakticirati Ljubav.... i on otuda mora uvijek pomoći svojemu bližnjemu u svim nevoljama tijela i duše. Istinska Ljubav će uvijek željeti davati, i stoga također onda mora biti spremna za Ljubavno djelovanje, ako je bližnji u nevolji (nuždi, oskudici). Ovaj stav je također odlučujući za sazrijevanje duše. Od Boga će na izvjestan način biti procijenjen stupanj Ljubavi, ako se dvoje ljudi čisto tjelesno povezuje (spaja). Čovjek u svakoj situaciji može odgojno i oplemenjujuće djelovati na bližnjega, a volja za potonjim je odlučujuća za to da li je tjelesno povezivanje (spajanje) od blagoslova, ili pred Bogom ne može opstati.... Božanska Ljubav, milosrđe i strpljenje prakticiraju najveću popustljivost s ljudima, a osobito s onima koji Bogu iznose svoje slabosti i Njega mole za snagu.... Jer, dok god čovjek pripada Zemlji, i njegova zemaljska žudnja je veća, te stoga teža za prevladavanje. Ali, što se više čovjek bori za to da savlada (obuzda, zatomi) zemaljske žudnje, to primjetnije mu nadolazi snaga da pruži otpor zemaljskoj žudnji, bez povrjeđivanja zapovijedi Ljubavi prema svome bližnjemu.... Jer Ljubav je prvi uvjet.... Čovjek koji ljubi uvijek će držati u vidu dobro drugoga, i stoga će on učiniti sve što je od njega traženo, budući je Ljubav uvijek darivatelj, a čovjek pun Ljubavi nikada ne misli na sebe samoga. Srdačna Ljubav će uvijek biti ugodna pred Bogom, i stoga je stupanj voljnosti za davanje odlučujući za viši razvoj duše.

Carnal desires.... earthly desires.... love activity....

In carnal pleasure you humans see the fulfilment of your physical desires, and thus you indulge in earthly pleasure. But what helps the body to feel good is of little benefit to the soul, for the soul can only develop progressively if it does not give in to physical desire, that is, if it voluntarily renounces everything the body demands for its fulfilment.... Man should practice love.... and he must therefore always help his fellow human being in every need of body and soul. True love will always want to give and must therefore also be prepared to act in love when a fellow human being is in need. This attitude is also decisive for the maturing of the soul. To a certain extent, the degree of love is assessed by God when two people connect purely physically. A person can have an educating and ennobling effect on his fellow human being in every situation, and the will to do so is decisive as to whether a physical union is a blessing or cannot exist before God.... Divine love, mercy and patience exercises the greatest forbearance with people, and especially with those who present their weakness to God and appeal to Him for strength.... For as long as the human being belongs to earth, his earthly desires are also greater and therefore more difficult to overcome. Yet the more the human being struggles to suppress earthly desires, the more noticeably he gains the strength to resist earthly desires without violating the commandment to love his neighbour.... For love is the first condition.... The loving person will always keep only the good of the other person in mind and will therefore do everything that is asked of him, because love is always the giver and the loving person never thinks of himself. Giving love will always be pleasing to God and therefore the degree of willingness to give is decisive for the soul's higher development....
