Stade de la conscience d’être un «je»....

Etre homme, c’est être conscient d’être un «je».... C’est là l’indice que vous êtes des êtres intelligents, c'est-à-dire que vous êtes capables de penser – et de ce fait, que vous êtes des êtres issus de Dieu, créés à Son image, et donc conscients d’eux-mêmes. Mais entre ce temps et maintenant où vous cheminez sur terre il s’est passé un temps infiniment long où vous avez été privés de votre conscience d’être un «je» – c’est un temps où vous animiez les ouvrages de la création en tant qu’être primordial, mais où cet être primordial n’était pas conscient de lui parce qu’il n’était que sous la forme de particules d’un être jadis conscient de lui qui passaient par ces ouvrages de création. Ce n’est que lorsque toutes les particules se furent de nouveau rassemblées que l’être s’est incarné en homme – et à ce moment, il a récupéré le stade de la conscience d’un «je», et il a maintenant lui aussi une tâche à accomplir.

En tant qu’homme, l’être porte donc maintenant une certaine responsabilité pour son développement parce que, par son intelligence, il est à même de reconnaître le pour et le contre de sa conduite, de sorte qu’il peut juger des effets qu’a sa conduite sur son «je» humain proprement dit.... c'est-à-dire sur son âme. Tant que, durant les stades préalables, l’être n’était pas conscient de lui-même, il n’avait aucune responsabilité à porter, et était sujet à la loi d’il faut.... Il exécutait ce que la volonté de Dieu lui avait donné à faire. Il agissait par instinct, c'est-à-dire conduit par des intelligences spirituelles qui influençaient le spirituel contenu dans les ouvrages de création pour qu’il exécute l’activité à laquelle il était destiné.

Il en est autrement au stade d’homme, où maintenant il a la libre disposition de lui-même ; il pense et il agit ; et dans sa qualité d’être conscient de son «je», il est totalement libre en ce qui concerne la pensée, la volonté et les actions.... Et maintenant, il doit penser, vouloir et agir consciemment d’après la volonté de Dieu ; la volonté de Dieu ne le détermine plus, mais c’est sa propre volonté qui doit le déterminer, toujours dans la conscience d’être un «je», car l’homme se perçoit comme étant autodéterminant lui-même, il est conscient de lui-même.... Il n’est plus sous une influence étrangère, mais il pointe sa volonté selon son gré, et il sait aussi qu’il lui faudra répondre de la direction où il la pointe.

Et voilà ce qui distingue l’homme de l’animal qui est également déjà très avancé dans son développement, mais qui, jusqu’à sa dernière incorporation en l’homme, reste toujours un être qui existe sous la loi d’il faut et, aussi intelligent qu’il apparaisse, il ne peut pas disposer de lui librement. Il n’a pas encore regagné la conscience d’être un «je», donc il n’est pas encore arrivé au dernier échelon des incorporations. Mais lui aussi atteindra le dernier échelon, car tout spirituel accepte un jour le parcours dans la vie terrestre où il s’incarnera en homme, et sera donc conscient d’être un «Je».

Mais le fait que l’homme est un être conscient de son «je» devrait aussi lui faire conclure que son Créateur, Celui qui l’a formé, son Dieu d’éternité, ne peut pas être un esprit quelconque, mais qu’en tant qu’Etre extrêmement parfait, Il est capable de penser et Il a le libre arbitre – sinon, des créatures identiques démontrant ces indices de divinité n’auraient pas pu En être issues. Du fait de que l’homme est un être créé il est possible d’en déduire un Dieu Créateur. Il faut que l’Etre Suprême soit conscient de Son «Je», comme l’homme est conscient de son «je», mais dans une perfection suprême, parce qu’irréfutablement, l’homme est un être encore imparfait. Mais malgré toute son imperfection, il a la conscience d’être un «je», et ce n’est que cela qui fait de l’homme un être divin, créé égal à Lui, et qui doit redevenir à la même perfection que celle qu’il avait lorsqu’il a été procédé de Dieu jadis.

La «conscience d’être un je» est la plus grande merveille dans l’ouvrage de création de l’«homme».... Voilà un fait sur lequel les hommes devraient réfléchir un peu, car s’ils ne possédaient pas cette conscience d’être un «je», ils mèneraient une vie morte, car c’est cette conscience qui confère à la vie de chaque être humain l’empreinte personnelle de se reconnaître soi-même en tant qu’être apte à penser, et de pouvoir ainsi disposer de soi selon son libre arbitre, étant donné que l’homme est capable de réfléchir sur lui-même et qu’il peut s’insérer lui-même dans le cadre de la création - dans l’auto-conscience du «je» - dans la conscience de pouvoir déterminer lui-même ce que veut son «je».... La conscience d’être un «je» est un signe évident de divinité car c’est la marque qui prouve l’appartenance à un être analogue Qui l’a appelé à la vie.... même si en tant qu’homme l’être n’est qu’une caricature de ce que Dieu avait créé jadis.... Mais il a obtenu la conscience d’être un «je» donc il peut de nouveau se former en l’être originel qu’il était au commencement. Au stade d’homme.... au stade de la conscience d’être un «je».... il peut faire tout ce qu’il veut, même si la possibilité de l’exécuter lui est quelquefois réduite par la volonté de Dieu, mais il est capable de projeter et de penser en partant toujours de lui, en se sentant toujours au centre de tous les évènements, parce qu’il sait qu’il est là, et qu’il n’en perd plus la conscience. Par conséquent, il lui faudra un jour rendre compte de l’attitude qu’il a prise envers cette grande grâce pendant la vie terrestre de se savoir un être conscient de son «je», formé par un Créateur de manière à pouvoir se reconnaître soi-même et aussi à établir de son côté les rapports appropriés avec son Créateur....

La faculté de penser est propre à la conscience d’être un «je», et ce n’est qu’elle qui peut faire mûrir les bons fruits, mais il faut toujours que le libre arbitre qui caractérise une créature divine soit actif.... Et ce libre arbitre doit mettre à profit tous les dons divins pour que pendant la vie terrestre l’être s’engage dans le chemin qui le mènera irrévocablement à la transformation en l’être originel, afin qu’il rentre à la maison paternelle en toute perfection, tel qu’il en est sorti jadis....

Stage of self-awareness....

You humans are conscious of your Self.... And this is the indication that you are intelligent beings, i.e., that you are able to think and are therefore beings who came forth from God, created in His image and therefore also aware of yourselves. But from this time until your present life on earth you spent an infinitely long time deprived of your self-awareness, a time, when you indeed also animated the works of creations as something spiritually tangible but this spiritual substance was not conscious of itself because it only ever passed through these works of creation as a small component of a once self-aware being. Only after all the small parts had come together again the being embodied itself as a human being and then also entered the stage of self-awareness once again, in which it now has to accomplish a task.

Hence, as a human being it carries a certain amount of responsibility for its development because it is intellectually capable of recognising the pros and cons of everyday life, thus it is able to assess the effects of its conduct on the human being's real Self.... the soul. As long as the being was not aware of itself during the preliminary stages it did not have to shoulder responsibility either, and it was subject to the law of compulsion.... it implemented what God's will had assigned it to do. It behaved according to instinct, i.e. it was guided by spiritual intelligences which influenced the spiritual substance within the works of creation such that it performed the activity it was destined to do.

This, however, is different in the stage of a human being when it has self-determination, when it thinks and acts, when, as a self-aware being, it has complete freedom of thought, will and action.... And now it should consciously think, want and behave in accordance with God's will, it is no longer determined by God's will but its own will should decide and always in view of self-awareness, for the human being perceives himself as the determining factor, he is aware of himself.... He is no longer subject to unknown influence but chooses the direction of his will according to his own liking, and he also knows that he will have to be answerable to how he directs it.

This differentiates the human being from the animal, which is already far advanced in its development but which, until its final incarnation as a human being, will always remain a being that is subject to the law of compulsion and incapable of self-determination, irrespective of how intelligent it appears to be. It has not yet regained its self-awareness and therefore not reached the final stage of embodiment either. But it will reach the final stage, for every soul will sooner or later accept its path of earthly life when it embodies itself as a human being and is conscious of its ego.

But the fact that the human being is a self-aware being should also make him conclude that his Creator and Designer, his God of eternity, cannot be an intangible spirit but that He, as the supremely perfect Being, is equally intelligent and has free will otherwise living creations which demonstrate such evidence of divinity could not have emerged from Him. For from the human being.... the created.... it is also possible to infer to God, the Creator. The highest Being has to be self-aware too, just like the human being is self-aware, only to the highest perfection, because the human being is still undeniably an imperfect being. But, despite his imperfection, he has self-awareness and only this renders the human being a divine being, which was created in His image and shall become as perfect again as it once was when it had come forth from God.

'Consciousness of Self' is the greatest miracle of the work of creation 'Man'.... People should consider the fact that they would live an empty life without this self-awareness, which gives every person his personal hallmark in the first place: to recognise himself as an intelligent being and to be able to make his own free decisions, because the human being is able to think about himself and integrate into the framework of creation in awareness of his ego.... in awareness of determining for himself what his 'ego' wants.... Self-awareness is an obvious mark of Divinity, for it is a sign of belonging to a kindred Being Which brought him into being.... even if the being as a person is a mere distortion of what God once created.... but he received his self-awareness and therefore is also able to shape himself again into the original being he was in the beginning. In the stage as a human being.... in the stage of self-awareness.... the being is able to achieve whatever it wants, even if God now and then restricts its opportunity of implementation, but it is capable of planning and thinking, always being its own starting point, always experiencing itself in the centre of all happening because it knows it exists and will not lose this consciousness again either. For this reason, however, it will also be held to account one day in regards to how it dealt in earthly life with the great blessing of knowing that it is a self-aware being which was designed by a Creator in order to be able to recognise itself and to voluntarily establish the right kind of relationship with its Creator....

The faculty of thought belongs to self-awareness and only this can yield the right kind of fruit, but free will always has to be active too, which equally belongs to a divine living creation.... And this free will has to utilise all divine gifts properly, then the being will take the right path during its earthly life as a human being which will, without fail, lead to a retransformation and it will return into its Father's house in all perfection, just as it once had come forth from there....
