Instrucción de Dios o de la gente... Arrogancia espiritual...

Es una cierta arrogancia espiritual cuando una persona que no ha sido enseñada por Dios cree que sabe. El conocimiento que ha recibido de la gente es principalmente el resultado del pensamiento intelectual usando enseñanzas establecidas, y este conocimiento puede corresponder a la verdad, si esas enseñanzas tiene como origen la obra del Espíritu en el hombre. Tales enseñanzas serán siempre aceptadas como verdad por aquellas personas que, a través de su forma de vida, que se llevan a sí mismas a un estado que también permite que el Espíritu obre en ellas...

Pero tan pronto como este último se vuelve imposible por el incumplimiento de las condiciones que son prerrequisitos para la obra del espíritu en el ser humano, la pura verdad se entremezcla con el error, porque entonces el ser humano da acceso a sí mismo a esas fuerzas que luchan contra la verdad. Pero entonces el ser humano también creerá estando en la verdad y se levantará con convicción para lo que ahora ya no es pura verdad, sino error debido a la obra del adversario de Dios. Si esta persona misma estuviera iluminada por el Espíritu de Dios, tendría que reconocer dónde comienza la obra del adversario, y por lo tanto tendría que rechazar absolutamente lo que no es obra del espíritu divino. Pero solo con el pensamiento intelectual no podrá reemplazar la obra del Espíritu, que sin embargo cree, y esto es orgullo espiritual, es esta arrogancia espiritual la que de nuevo impide la penetración de la verdad. Sin embargo, el ser humano suele anteponer el pensamiento intelectual a la obra del Espíritu, por lo que nunca se dejará convencer de que sólo éste es la garantía de la pura verdad, y valorará más el conocimiento de aquellos que se ha apoderado del bien espiritual y buscan sondearlo intelectualmente ellos mismos. El pensamiento intelectual nunca debe compararse con la obra del Espíritu, porque siempre es un trabajo humano en comparación con la Obra divina, que comprensiblemente debe evaluarse de manera muy diferente.

Pero mientras el hombre no reconozca la obra del Espíritu, no se le puede dar una explicación completa sobre las cuestiones que se refieren a la eternidad. Porque el hombre nunca puede responder a eso, sino el Espíritu de Dios, que se anuncia al hombre y le explica cosas que se escapan por completo al conocimiento humano y al entendimiento humano. Sin embargo, el Espíritu de Dios nunca yerra y nunca puede ser explicado por la obra de las fuerzas malas, razón por la cual el conocimiento obtenido a través de la obra de Espíritu supera indiscutiblemente al conocimiento intelectual y es la única garantía de la verdad pura...

Instruction from God or from men.... spiritual arrogance....

It is a certain spiritual arrogance when a person who has not been taught by God believes himself to be knowledgeable. The knowledge he has received from people is mostly the result of intellectual thought using established teachings and this knowledge can correspond to the truth if these teachings originate from the working of the spirit in the human being. Such teachings will also always appear as truth to people who, through their way of life, bring themselves back into a state which also allows the working of the spirit in them.... However, as soon as the latter has become impossible due to the non-fulfilment of the conditions which are a prerequisite for the working of the spirit in the human being, the pure truth will be interspersed with error, because then the human being will also allow those forces which fight against the truth access to himself. But then the person will likewise believe himself to be in the truth and will stand up with conviction for what is no longer pure truth but error due to the work of God's adversary. If this person were enlightened by the spirit of God himself, he would have to recognize where the adversary's activity begins and thus he would have to absolutely reject that which is not divine spiritual activity. Yet he will not be able to replace the working of the spirit with intellectual enquiry alone, which he nevertheless believes, and this is spiritual arrogance, this is spiritual arrogance which again prevents him from penetrating the truth. However, the human being usually places intellectual thinking above the working of the spirit, and thus he will never allow himself to be convinced that the latter alone is the guarantee for pure truth, and he will value the knowledge of those more highly who have adopted spiritual knowledge and try to fathom it intellectually themselves. Intellectual thought can never be equated with the working of the spirit, for it is always human working in contrast to divine working, which understandably has to be assessed quite differently. But as long as man does not recognize the working of the spirit, he cannot be given complete enlightenment about questions concerning eternity. For man can never answer such questions, but the spirit from God can, which makes itself known to man and explains to him the things which are completely beyond human knowledge and human intellect. The spirit from God, however, never errs and can also never be explained by the working of evil forces, which is why knowledge gained through the working of the spirit indisputably surpasses intellectual knowledge and is the only guarantee of pure truth....
